The dose makes the poison
I’ve been spending a lot of time on the Haircare Science subreddit and I read that harsh surfactants (sulfates) cause damage to the hair cuticle. Is this true? I am honestly freaked out about this
I’m a licensed hairdresser and I prefer sulfate free shampoo because my scalp is easily irritated by sulfate surfactants. I’m sure there are higher quality shampoos with sulfates that could work well for me but who wants to spend all that money going through them to find one? I choose sulfate free shampoos becuase there is a higher chance that it won’t irritate my scalp
The reason I prefer sulfate free is because it makes my hair rough. 🫠💔
